Last week, I had the opportunity to spend time in beautiful Arizona with Antonio Garza, visiting both current and prospective customers. It was incredible to witness the growth in the Phoenix area and beyond, driven by the expansion of the region. What excites me most is how well our succulent young plant assortment fits this dynamic market!
Even more exciting was identifying new tissue culture opportunities, especially for several Yucca varieties, which tend to be inconsistent when grown from seed. By using tissue culture liners, we can ensure true-to-type, uniform crops with every planting. Our R&D team at Magnolia Gardens is already hard at work preparing protocols and media formulas for these new Yuccas. If you have any suggestions for plants to add to our list, I’d love to hear them!
