Nandina domestica ‘Compacta’ Compact Nandina, Heavenly Bamboo

Compacta may be more low growing than other Nandina varieties, but it really stands out in a crowd! It has more numerous leaflets giving the foliage a lacey appearance. Compacta blooms in the spring and the new flush of growth is a beautiful coppery color, turning  green in the summer. In the fall  it will produces a show of red berries and the foliage changes to a red – purple color. Compacta can grow 4 to 6 ft high, making for beautiful hedges or shrub border.
